John Kang has more than 30 years in the business. His expertise is in technology, manufacturing and distribution businesses. He is also an investor in established companies and startups. Through the years, he has raised capital through private and public markets to enable companies to execute their business plans.
After his tenure as the president of healthcare-IT business Medical Manager Corporation, he moved on to become an early investor in Liquidmetal Technologies. The company successfully commercialized amorphous metal alloys. He also led the company through its initial offering in 2002.
During John Kang's term as its chairman, Liquidmetal Technologies worked with companies such as Apple Inc., The Swatch Group Ltd., HEAD, and Rawlings. It has also established development programs with Richemont, J&J, Engel, and others.
John Kang is currently the chairman of California-based LM Group Holdings, Inc. He is responsible for the overall strategy of the company and oversees the company’s portfolio companies.
